Project Overview
Sydney started Abide Home Styling out of a love for spaces, relationship, hospitality and beauty. She has an amazing vision of creating spaces that her clients are excited to invite others into, whether that be a residential or commercial space. As her business grew and evolved she realized a need to re-envision her services and brand to grow along with the changes in her business. She desired beauty, elegance and simplicity in her branding, redefined values, and clear communication of how collaboration with her could look like. For this rebrand, we sought to re-introduce Abide Home Styling in print and digitally in a full-blown rebrand!
Exploration
Inspiration for Abide’s branding started from analyzing the founder herself: grounded, peaceful, poise, and welcoming.

While pondering the concept of hospitality, I began to toy with the idea of an open door. This, combined with Sydney’s love for arches and the letter “A” for “Abide” culminated into Abide’s logomark in the simplest of sketches.

Pulling from the colours and textures found in nature, a grounding colour palette began to form.

From Ideation to Creation:
After redefining Abide’s brand values with Sydney – connection, functionality, beauty, professionalism & stewardship – the visual translation began.
Abide’s logomark is symbolic, multi-faceted (arches being historic in interior design, the “A” lettermark, doorway as hospitality) simple and breathable – all traits Sydney considers while selecting pieces for her clients. The stylized serif communicates refinement and elegance, paired with Montserrat in all caps to provide stability and durability.

A Vision Realized
Abide Home Styling was in need of a rebrand to grow with its flourishing services and style. Sydney gave me the honour of entrusting me with her baby! In working alongside her, I was able to create a brand that conveyed a sense of refreshment and professionalism that Abide truly deserves. The result? a brand that gives you that feeling of exhaling a long-held breath.
